Harris County is making changes to its rescue operations in preparation for future floods. A new training facility is being built to provide specialized swiftwater rescue training for local first responders.

The facility, located at 1731 Hugh Road, will allow deputies, constables, firefighters, and other emergency personnel to practice water rescues and other skills in a controlled environment.
