A death investigation is underway in northwest Houston after a gunshot was reported at an apartment complex. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at Hacienda Bonita Apartments on Ella Boulevard.

An unresponsive male, believed to be around 18 years old, was found near a vehicle at the complex entrance with a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
