A Polk County woman's death in May is being investigated. The woman, 31, had a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital where she died. She is survived by three children.

Authorities made arrests in connection with the death. A 36-year-old man was charged with assault and restraint. His mother was also arrested, on a drug-related charge.
